No, Wait, Now I'm Rested

I woke up today at 8. No, not in the morning. In the evening. I don't know how I did it, but I'm sleeping like I'm on night shift. The thing about that is that I don't even have a job! What the hell? Anyway, I have got to get back on some kind of regular sleep schedule this week. College isn't a great environment for day-sleeping.

Right now, there is a Little Rascals marathon on TCM. There is a lot of racism in those old shorts. Midgets are persecuted as thieves, and Stymie doesn't speak with very much grace, but you know what? That stuff is still hilarious. There is an almost unchanging formula for comedy, with some interchangeable variables that allow for the comedy to be updated with the times. It's crazy.

When I woke up, I found the house empty. In the kitchen was a few burgers and some fries left out for me. I would've loved to put those burgers on buns, slather them with some kind of condiment, and eat those fries...but I didn't. I decided yesterday that I was going to lose this weight. I started my diet proper today. I took those burger patties, put onions and worchestershire sauce on them. Then, I broke up some celery, and put a small amount of peanut butter on the stalks. I pulled some lettuce off the head in the fridge and put a little italian dressing on that. That's what I ate; burger patties, onions, celery, and lettuce. It's a high protein, low carb diet. I'll also be taking a multi-vitamin daily, since I won't be eating bread and stuff.

  1. Allow yourself some carbohydrates throughout the day otherwise your energy will be drained and if you ever were to go off of this "diet" you are more likely to gain the weight back plus some. I've had experience from trying the Atkins diet as a little kid. Good for you for taking charge and getting healthy!

As for the sleeping schedule is concerned...you better get with it! You only have a few more days to get it back on track. ;)

  2. Thanks for the advice. I'm doing all I can to reset my sleepiness.
